35th Anniversary of the Midwest Motorcycle Legend
In the summer of 1972, Harley-Davidson of Mason City, Inc. opened its doors to the public. It was born from the necessity of three die-hard motorcycle riders to get better access to parts and service for their Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles. The two brothers Ron Minert and Tom Minert along with their good friend Tom Honken started getting parts and wrenching on their own bikes. Their personal obsession quickly spread to their friends and to the friends of their friends. Harley-Davidson of Mason City soon became a mecca for the growing number of Bikers in Northern Iowa.
Thirty-five years later Harley-Davidson of Mason City, Inc. is still kicking and stronger than ever. The leadership has moved into the next generation with Steve Minert managing Harley-Davidson of Mason City and Tom Minert at Cedar River Harley-Davidson in Charles City. While a lot of things have changed over the years, Harley-Davidson Inc. of Mason City's commitment to the motorcycle rider has remained a top priority, which is reflected by our consistent ranking in the top 5% of all dealers worldwide for our customer service. Our dealership employs over 35 full time employees, puts over 1000 riders on the road annually and is one of the largest in the Midwest. Our customers come from almost every state in the nation and many countries around the world. Harley-Davidson Inc. of Mason City truly lives up to its name as the "Midwest Motorcycle Legend".
